Twenty-two units over three years. The last has nothing new to memorise. Look at what work the science you have learned leads to, how it has changed the world, and where it meets the path you want to take.

What to take away from this unit
Careers in science are not only for scientists in laboratories. Medicine, engineering, the environment, information, teaching, even the arts: a great many kinds of work use scientific knowledge and ways of inquiry.
As science and technology advance, society and work change too. Some jobs vanish and new ones appear. So the ability to keep learning matters more than any one piece of knowledge.
The abilities built by learning science serve on any path: finding problems, gathering and weighing evidence, solving things with others, and explaining results clearly.
Middle school science groups into motion and energy, matter, life, Earth and space, and science and society. They are not separate things but one world seen from several sides.
